How should a Christian respond to "Happy Holidays". Should we respond with Merry Christmas and remind them the "reason for the season" that unto us this day a Saviour is born and He is Jesus Christ the Lord?
Do we boycott retailers that remove Christmas from their stores completely? Groups such as Focus on the Family, Liberty Counsel and the American Family Institute create lists of retailers that support or market Christmas, "Good" or "Nice" and those that have no mention of Christmas, "Bad" or "Naughty".
Some of the "Nice" retailers that mention Christmas in stores or in advertising are; Best Buy, Cabellas, JC Pennys, Kohls, Menards.
Some on the "Naughty" list that refuse to mention Christmas; Circuit City, Costco, Disney, Gap, Nordstrom.

Should we even care if these Non-Christian companies try and appease us by saying "Merry Christmas"? After all, aren't they just greedy and after the all mighty dollar?

Good post! I will focus my shopping on the stores that say Merry Christmas. For practical purposes I will not fully boycot the stores that say happy holidays in place of merry Christmas but I will limit my shopping at those stores.
I say go into ALL the retailers, especially those who refuse to mention "Christmas", and share the Good News of Christ! We should never knowingly support an organization that supports something that God would hate, but we shouldn't avoid them. It's easy to get wrapped up in boycotting, protesting & fighting legal battles and forget about our real mission... to "GO"! If the church would spend it's energy doing what it was called to do, there would be much less boycotting and much more mention of CHRISTmas. Our battle is not against "flesh & blood". Boycotting & fighting legal battles don't save anyone. The Gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed is what will save lost sinners. D.L. Moody said we should be ready to share the Gospel at the drop of a hat, and sometimes we should drop the hat ourselves! I love that!!
